// ABOUT CODEVIBE

Codevibe is a full-stack software development agency based in Gurugram, building web, mobile, cloud, and AI/automation products for startups and growth-stage companies across India, the US, UK, and UAE. We ship real products end to end - clean architecture, modern tooling, and best practices.

// ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Team Lead who is still hands-on with code but also owns delivery - leading a small team of developers, running client discussions, and making sure projects ship on time and to a high standard.

You will spend part of your time building (architecture, tricky features, reviews) and part of it leading (planning, mentoring, and client communication).

This is a role for someone who writes strong code and can also be trusted in front of a client and at the front of a team.

// KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

What will you do in this role?

01.

Technical (hands-on)

  • Own the architecture and technical decisions for your projects.
  • Write and review code across the stack - React/Next.js front-ends and NestJS APIs on PostgreSQL.
  • Set and enforce coding standards, review pull requests, and keep the codebase clean and scalable.
  • Solve the hardest parts of a build and unblock the team.
02.

Team management

  • Lead a small team of developers - plan sprints, assign work, and track progress.
  • Mentor and grow engineers through reviews, pairing, and feedback.
  • Estimate effort, break down scope, and manage delivery timelines and risks.
  • Ensure quality through testing, QA coordination, and clean releases.
03.

Client management

  • Join client calls and discussions - gather requirements, explain technical choices in simple terms, and set expectations.
  • Translate client needs into clear scope, tasks, and deliverables.
  • Give regular updates, demos, and status reports; handle scope changes professionally.
  • Act as the technical point of contact through delivery and UAT.
// MUST-HAVE SKILLS

What are we looking for?

These are the skills the role genuinely depends on. The next section is the wish list, and you are not expected to have all of it.

Technical

  • Strong full-stack experience with React (v19) and Next.js (v16, App Router).
  • TypeScript, Tailwind CSS (v4), TanStack Query, React Router DOM, Zustand.
  • Node.js (v24) and NestJS (v11) - REST APIs, JWT auth, RBAC.
  • PostgreSQL with Prisma ORM - schema design and optimization.
  • Solid grasp of clean architecture, SOLID principles, and scalable design.
  • Strong Git workflow and code-review discipline.

Leadership & communication

  • Proven experience leading or mentoring a small development team.
  • Excellent communication - able to run client meetings and explain technical topics clearly.
  • Strong ownership, planning, and delivery mindset.
// GOOD TO HAVE

What else counts in your favour?

Do not rule yourself out over this list. If the must-have section sounds like you, apply.

  • Redis and queues (BullMQ), Docker and containers.
  • Linux / VPS deployment (e.g. Hostinger), Nginx, SSL.
  • CI/CD (GitHub Actions), Swagger / OpenAPI.
  • Monorepo tooling (Turborepo) and pnpm.
  • Testing (Jest / Vitest), payment (Razorpay) and messaging/WhatsApp integrations.
  • Experience estimating and scoping projects for clients.
  • Cloud exposure (AWS / GCP) and observability/logging.
